Gratitude – European Musical Offering……

8 Aug 2014, Prasanthi Nilayam: With Love permeating in their hearts, over hundred choristers from 18 European nations joined together on the 7th August evening presenting a unique musical offering entitled ‘Gratitude’ here in Prasanthi Nilayam. The offering was by Zone 7 of Sri Sathya Sai Service Organisations – Worldwide.

The programme commenced at 1700 hrs. with a brief introduction by Mr Manfred Muller-Gransee of Germany, who introduced the programme and the participating countries. This was followed by an Indian intonation by the Western troupe, propitiating Lord Ganesha, with Ganapathi Prarthana… The programme then went on for an hour with the choristers singing paeans to Bhagawan, singing attributes of the attribute-less Divine…It was noteworthy that some of the compositions were done by the Youth from the participating nations, some of them specially composed for the auspicious occasion, sung in nine different languages. The evening numbers included “Baba Ram…”, “Praise To The Lord…”, “Prema Sagara…” “Wonderful Wonderful World…”, “Cover The World With Love…”, “Sai Maa…”, “Let Us All Move Together…” etc.

 

 

A short video presentation on the participating countries and the organisational activities over there was showed at the end of the presentation. The countries that participated were: Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia and Sweden.

Bhajans continued and ended with ‘Thursday Special’, Bhagawan singing, “Govinda Krishna Jai.. Gopala Krishna Jai…” Mangala Arathi at 1840 hrs. marked the end of the proceedings.
